Don't Be A Fool
Good evening fellow bloggers! Today I want to stress the importance of students showing respect not only for their parents but for teachers as well. I hear to many horror stories out there right now about how disrespectful students are to their teachers and that makes me extremely mad. I guess I was just blessed enough to grow up in a household where respect was of the upmost importance. But that still doesn't mean that if you grew up in a bad situation it gives you the right to treat others badly. I know plenty of people who grew up in bad situations and still had the brains enough to know that being unkind to people especially teachers who love you is wrong. Teachers are here to care, help, and nurture you through life so please! please! please! show the same for them.

Parents and Techers Be Aware
Good afternoon fellow bloggers. Today I want to stress the importance of the teacher parent relationship. You can't have one without the other. If you want your child to succeed in life it is important for you to communicate with his/her teacher and visa versa. The child needs to know that both the teacher and the parent are looking out for his/her best interest. You can never know how important this is to a child. I don't care how you reach out to each other just do it. Whether it is calling on the phone, showing up in person, e-mailing over the computer or even blogging. Just open the lines of communication and it can make a world of difference. Try it.

Classroom Technology
I can't emphasize enough how important technology in the classroom is not only for students but for teachers and parents as well. It is important for teachers to keep up with the latest technologies in the classroom so they can prepare their students for the realy world and real world problems. This way students will be abel to use technology to their advantage. It is also very important for parents to stay up with the latest technologies so they can help their children with there school work. It is also necessary for parents to keep an eye on these technologies so that their children are not using them in inapropriate ways. Many parents are not aware of the extensive knowledge that their children have with technology and if you are not up to date with it how are you to know that they are not usinge in bad situations. As a teacher I feel obligated to relate to you the importance of learning and understanding technologies in our vast computerized world.

Not My Strength
Goodafternoon fellow bloggers! Today I am going to talk about the subject that this now my strenght...Mathematics. I don't dislike math I'm just not that smart when it comes to solving mathematical equations. Even though it is a hard subject for me to understand it is still very important to be knowledgeable in the matter so I can help my students. I know that after high school or college everybody always says, "I won't ever have to use math ever again". Sorry, your wrong. There are all kinds of math problems in my life like how much money I will need to accomplish everything I need to do for the week, how fast or slow I need to go to get to school to lessen my gas bill. Math is everywhere and the sooner people realize that the sooner their fear of math will not be as strong.

History
Greetings fellow bloggers. Today I am going to talk about my favorite subject...History. I love history! History is one of those subjects that is important for everyone to know whether it is Texas history, U.S. history or World history. For me my favorite kind of history of course is Texas history. I think it is very important and I mean crucially important for all Texans to know and understand our history as a state. I am very proud of my state and that means I want to bragg so in order to bragg you have to know your facts. Don't get me wrong there are some things I don't particularly like about it such as knowing all the dates. I am terrible about remembering dates, sometimes I don't remeber what today is let alone something that happen a hundred and fifty years ago. I get excited about history and some day when I finally become a teacher I hope that I can help influence students to feel the same way instead of dreading it.

Teachers Use Your Power Of Influence Wisely!
Today I am going to blog about a teacher that had a negative effect on my learning capabilities and how my experience should never happen to any child. Growing up I was really shy and I guess you could say gullable. Growing up with parents who were honest people was great but it also had its down falls too. I trusted everybody and believed everyword they said. My first day of 6th grade I walked into my very first Middle School math class and I was excited but that was very short lived. I won't release the teachers name for her sake. The very first words out of her mouth was..."I think I should let Y'all be aware that you are in this class period together because the school has deemed you students the most likely to not go to college and succeed in life." I was devastated to say the least. This ruined math for me for the rest of the year. I didn't even want to try becuase I thought "What's the use if I am just going to fail anyways." Her attitude matched her teaching ability. She made me feel like I was stupid when I asked questions, so I didn't even try. I did poorly in math all the way into my senior year in high school. They put me in remedial math for years thinking that I was just not smart enough. Luckily in my senior year I got a math teacher who was brand new to the school and I made a fresh start with her. She made me apply myself and the important think was that she believed in me. I wish I could find my 6th grade math teacher and tell her that I recieved the Algebra II award out of my whole class my senior year and that I recieved academic recognitions for my TAAS scores and now I attend a major University. I would also like to tell her that she could have been a great influence in my life and to a certain extent she was an influence on my life. She has influence me to be the best teacher I can be because I never want to put any child through what she put me and my fellow classmates through.

My favorite teacher
Hello! Today my blog is going to be about my favorite teacher growing up. I lucked out as a kid. I always seemed to get the nicest teachers anybody could have asked for, so I loved all of my teachers. I don't think there was one teacher that I can truely say that I didn't like. My favorite teacher of all is Mrs. W. This is not her real name but I will call her this to respect her privacy. She was my first grade teacher and I was crazy about her. My mom says that I would come home from school and just go on and on about Mrs. W. and what we did in school that day. I think she was my favorite teacher becuase she was kind, warm, understanding, and the most important...loving. Here is the scary part, while in her classroom she would talk constantly about her son who played football and I would talk about my sister who was a cheerleader. Now she is my sisters mother-in-law, so we are family and I get to see her all the time. I hope one day I can have students say that I was an influence to them just like Mrs. W. is to me.

About Me
Hi bloggers! I am new to the blogging world, so bear with me. I am a 25 year old student at one of the many private universities in Texas. I know 25 sounds old for a student but I have been trying to juggle a job, school, and family all at the same time, so it's taking a while. For as long as I can remember my ultimate goal in life was to be a school teacher. In fact just a few days ago I found a project I worked on in third grade where I was telling everybody how much I couldn't wait to grow up and become a high school teacher. Things have changed a little bit over time. I don't, and I mean I don't want to teach high school. If I had my choice I would teach kindergarten and kindergarten alone. You may wonder how I knew from such an early age that I wanted to become a teacher. Well, it's all about family. I have a wonderful Christian family who is very supportive of everything I do. My parents raised me in a Christian home and church. So, growing up I was in church every time the doors were open. I spent alot of time in G.A.'s, Vacation Bible School, youth group, church camp, and now in my adult life I reside in the church nursery. Outside of church I was a baby sitter. In fact people around my town called me the baby sitting queen. One of the famililes I baby sat for was the Superintendant of our school. As you can tell I have been around children for a long time and I love every minute of it. I feel I have been called by God to show my love through teaching young children. I always say catch them while they're young, so they won't talk back.
